THANKFUL

THANKFUL

This past week gives us pause to reflect on the many things we are thankful for. I decided to reflect on some letters of thanks that we have received as the ministry of Rahab's Rope. All the people that have been impacted by the ministry of Rahab's Rope would not have been possible without your support. So Thank You for all you do to support the ministry of Rahab's Rope.  These letters are also to you because of your support.

When I met Rahab’s Rope, I felt I had a real chance to turn my life around. A door was opened for me. The smiles, warmth, compassion and joy I found was contagious. The passion for working with women and children was something I knew I was meant to be a part of. “In God’s Time”. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to contribute to the mission.

I thank God for putting Rahab’s Rope in my path. I am proud to work for Rahab’s Rope because I know my work serves something good and is not just for my benefit. You gave me an opportunity when I needed it most.

Being part of the Rahab’s Rope family has changed my life; it was an answer to prayer for me. You believed in me when I found it hard to believe in myself. I was gifted with opportunities that shaped my faith and perspective in ways I could have never imagined. Thank you for encouraging and challenging me to see my potential.

Profound and impactful describes the effect that Rahab’s Rope has had on my life! Since meeting Rahab’s Rope my life has not been the same. I witnessed first-hand the passion that covers this ministry. Our visions aligned and I joined as a volunteer. I have grown tremendously in my compassion and courage. The people of South Asia have profoundly affected me, and I look forward to seeing many, many more of their faces in heaven due to the work of Rahab’s Rope!

I’ve been working with Rahab’s Rope for over 12 years, and I am continually amazed and humbled. Your contribution is always transformational to us. The money I receive is needed and dignified for me. I can take care of my child well. There is no way to fully express my gratitude for your help! Thank you for giving me the privilege to work with you.

I feel blessed to be working with you for over 12 years. Thank you for helping me. I have been suffering from epilepsy since childhood. Since I started to work with Rahab’s Rope my illness has almost stopped. Thank you for helping me become a teacher and for being part of the production team. Your acts of kindness are not a small thing. It impacts my whole family. I used some of my income for my brother’s education. I pray God protects you and gives you strength.

It has been a blessing, honor and privilege to work with Rahab’s Rope for over 14 years. The passion, hard work, determination and love for others in this ministry has been so inspiring to me. My faith has grown tremendously as I reflect over all the God stories and answers to prayer I have witnessed. It is obvious He is in control and has blessed beyond measure.

When we met Rahab’s Rope 12 years ago, we didn’t know it was going to be a turning point in our lives. Everything has changed for the greater good. It is hard to put into words the changes that have been made in people’s lives. To say everyone here is grateful, would be putting it lightly. We are honored to be a part of this great and holy endeavor taken on by Rahab’s Rope. The development and vocational training center here have equipped over 500 women and girls. They have found their calling and are now employable. As said in Proverbs 19:17 “Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will repay him for his deed.”

I can never thank Rahab’s Rope enough for the wonderful opportunity to serve the people of South Asia. Rahab’s Rope will always have a piece of my heart.

When I think about the work of Rahab’s Rope and the sheer number of lives that are impacted by the work, it overwhelms my heart. From the foreign and stateside staff, long-term missionaries to short-term volunteers… you will never know this side of heaven how many lives are better because of the work of Rahab’s Rope. Rahab’s Rope opened a window for me to see human trafficking and the women who are trapped in it’s clutches in a very personal way. This ministry makes much of Jesus. It is kingdom focused and servant hearted. You are hope holders with dirty shoes and it’s the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. In this broken, sinful, hard world Rahab’s Rope offers light and hope. Thank you!

“This is my prayer, that as we look around and locate pain, widening our scope when necessary, we’ll have the guts to take swift action. I pray that we’ll all go down together, arms linked, hoarse from shouting on behalf of those found on the short end of justice. I pray that down at street level, we’ll feel the tremor of God’s power and decide, once and for all, that our feet were made for low places and worthy battles.”
