Victory in Jesus!
Holy Week is the most sacred time in the Christian calendar, marking Jesus’ final days on earth and his ultimate sacrifice for each of us. It is a time of reminding believers of Jesus’ journey of love, suffering and redemption. The week began with Palm Sunday, celebrating Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem, followed by Maundy Thursday, commemorating the Last Supper where Jesus washed his disciples’ feet and shared a final meal with them. Then came Good Friday, a day of reflection, remembering his crucifixion — a sacrifice made to redeem the world. All this leading to Easter Sunday, a day of Hope, celebrating Christ’s resurrection and victory over sin and death.
This past week as I sat in our various centers in India, I sat absorbing the Hope that I could see, hear, and feel. I sat and listened and watched the interaction between the women and children with each other and with our staff. So much change has happened over the years. Hope is here! Jesus is here! I came across a quote from Corrie ten Boom this week, “Faith sees the invisible, believes the unbelievable, and receives the impossible.” So many have seen, believed and received. Pray for many more to come.
There is Victory in Jesus!
I heard an old, old story, how a Savior came from glory. How He gave His life on Calvary to save a wretch like me. I heard about His groaning, of His precious blood's atoning. Then I repented of my sins, and won the victory. Oh, victory in Jesus, my Savior forever. He sought me and bought me with His redeeming blood. He loved me 'ere I knew Him and all my love is due Him. He plunged me to victory beneath the cleansing flood. I heard about His healing, of His cleansing power revealing, how He made the lame to walk again and 'caused the blind to see. And then I cried, "Dear Jesus, come and heal my broken spirit". And somehow Jesus came and brought to me the victory. Victory in Jesus, my Savior forever! If you are struggling with anything, I pray you go to Jesus for Victory!
