Thank you for joining us on this journey called Rahab’s Rope. I am always amazed and grateful for the work of God through the staff and volunteers of this ministry.

This week I want to take a little turn toward our artisan partners. Even though our relationship with them is different than our hands on ministry they are still very much a part of Rahab’s Rope. As a non-profit we operate on a business model for several reasons. Our business model allows us to give work to the women we serve, others and funds 75% of our ministry at the same time. I just returned from India this past week from visiting and working with several of our artisan partners. In a country one-third the size of the U.S. with the population of 1.5 billion people work can be hard to find. God has led us to some incredible people that care about people. Our artisan partners are like family to us. Before I left to go to India I had received an email from one of our artisan groups. The email went like this, “Dear Vicki, I am reaching out to you because our artisans are in urgent need of support. We are experiencing major political turmoil and many are facing severe flooding. Many of our artisans have been directly affected. If you are able to place even a small order, it would greatly help them in recovery.” This particular artisan partner employs about 30 women that have been rescued from human trafficking among other artisans. Upon placing an order for product I received this note. “Dear Vicki, I don’t have the words to thank you enough. Thank you! Thank you! Our artisans are really, really happy.”

I can’t express enough the impact you have when you purchase from Rahab’s Rope. The funds make our ministry possible but the work from the products provides a means for moms and dads to support their families. It is totally a win-win situation and the ripple effect cannot be underestimated.
