Love in Action: Numbers at a Glance

“Love in Action: Numbers at a Glance”

I love sharing stories with you about the women and children we serve. Impacting the life of a child, a woman, and an entire community is what keeps me going. I know them, I see them, and I hug them.

I often use the saying, “To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world.” One person at a time, we can all make that kind of difference.

My guiding Scripture is 1 John 3:18:

"Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth."

Love is a verb—a word of action. I recently looked up the definition of a verb, and this is what I found:

A verb is the main word in a sentence. It expresses an action. A verb tells us what the subject is doing. Verbs are the heart of a sentence—you cannot form a complete sentence without a verb.

WOW! Love is a verb. It is the main word. It is action. It is the heart. It makes it complete.

All of that to say, numbers are not just numbers—they are love in action.

Our staff in South Asia have been busy this year showing that love. Here’s a glimpse of what your support has made possible:

· Tutoring 160 children, 5 days each week

· Life skills classes for 38 teenage girls each week

· Life skills classes for 39 teenage boys each week

· Sunday school, prayer, and worship services reaching approximately 100 people each week

· Sewing classes for 25 women

· Beauty school training for 14 women

· Literacy classes for 23 women

· Helping 10 people secure employment

· Paying school fees for 20 children

· Providing weekly food assistance for 8 families

· Conducting 10 home visits each week

· Celebrating 23 new believers in Jesus

You help make all this possible.

Thank you for partnering with us on this journey. Thank you for your prayers, your shopping, your giving, and your volunteering. It takes all of us working together to make this impact.

God bless,

Vicki
