Go in Peace!

Jesus valued women wherever he went. In a society where women were often oppressed and looked down upon; Jesus healed them, defended them, worked in ministry with them and built friendships with them.

This week I sat on the floor with three women that have had lives of oppression and abuse that we cannot imagine. As we sat, we read the Bible together and they quoted scripture to me. I looked into their eyes and saw nothing but Peace! It was beautiful. Their lives are forever changed because of the love of Jesus. They have heard Jesus say to them, “Your faith has healed you, go in peace.”

The ministry of Rahab’s Rope works with women and children in areas where they are still oppressed and looked down upon. What would Jesus do today? I say, the same as when He walked on earth. He would be in the middle of the mess, caring, loving, teaching and showing the better way. So today, we must do the same. Thanks to your continued support, many lives are being changed. We must be the hands and feet of Jesus by both physically being there and supporting those who are, through prayer and resources.

Women who never thought a job with dignity would happen for them, now have that opportunity. Women are learning to read and write, teenage girls are completing primary school and going on to college, children that would not have had an opportunity to go to school now have that opportunity. Just last week we gave four more women jobs making product at one of our centers because you are buying their product! Thank you!
